Hello everyone! Here is a picture of my two favorite guys on mothers day weekend. A few weeks ago now, but the cutest pic I've seen in a long time.

Life is good! We're a busy little family. We're headed to the mecca of North East, PA in a few weeks to introduce our buddy to all of Brian's hometown friends and family. Should be a fun trip complete with a "Cherry Carnival" and lots of firetrucks. Brock will love those I think. Then for Labor day we're going to Wisconsin to see my family. We're looking forward to both trips.

Brock had his first stomach bug this morning. He has had a cold all week and it decided to branch to his tummy I guess. Shortly after his first bottle he yaked all over himself and me. Since then he has kept the little he has ate/drank down, but it isn't much. Hopefully he'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Not much else is new... Brian and I are still working hard and trying not to make waves in the crappy economy. We're debating moving up in house this summer, but the jury is still out on that. I'll let you know!

Peace!

Wow, I'm really bad at this blogging thing...

So the Brockstar is almost 6 months old now, time sure flies. Here is a picture of our little lad on St. Pattys day. He is ~8% Irish ;)

At his last check up he was 17 pounds (90%) and 27" (97%) so we do indeed have monster child! Of course I think this just makes him all the more adorable :) He is still sleeping through the night *knock on wood* for the most part. No rolling over or teeth yet, but I'm sure any day now.

He started eating solids on his 5 month birthday. So far we've had lots of brown rice cereal, a good amount of (homemade... what rock star I am :P) squash, and a taste of peas and sweet potatoes. The squash and sweet potatoes are big hits... the look on his face with peas was hilarious, but he still ate them! Were going to try more green veggies soon.

Not a whole heck of a lot else is new. Mommy and daddy are still working their tales off and while tired, still very grateful to have jobs. Brock loves going to the Goddard school and has gotten the nickname "Mr. Giggles" because he is always so happy! That sure brings relief to a working mothers heart!

Alright, off to bed. We're going to get professional 6 month pictures, so I'll be back with those soon!

Who has the time?

Or rather, who has internet access to this stuff at work? NOT ME!

So hi, sorry it has been so long. I've been back to work for 5 weeks and I'm dealing with it alright. Brock was in daycare for 4 weeks, but as of today he is done with that place and going to a new school next week. I could write a long, long laundry list of what I didn't like about the first place... but I'll spare you the details. Sufficiet to say we're lookng forward to the change!

Of course Brock contracted his first cold over the last month. It really wasn't too bad. He sure hates the aspirator, but I haven't heard of a baby who likes it yet! Mommy got sick too. I got a double whammy and had the stomach flu as well. At least he didn't get that!

In honor of his 16th week on this planet he is no longer being swaddled at night! In case you don't want to do the math, that was last night. He woke up three times but I was able to get him back to sleep pretty easily. Of course I'm exhausted today though!

What really amazes me is how much he can scoot his little butt around that crib! Last night he was wedged all the way into one corner. And pretty pissed off about it too! So today I bought the breathable bumper, we'll see how that works.

Not much else is new... work has been keeping me busy that is for sure. And I think Brian and I are going to call a Mulligan on last March's vacation and head to Jamaica in a few weeks. All inclusive is such a waste on a pregnant woman!

Alright, off to print pictures for the technologically defunct grandmas!

I've got a big boy!

Brock had his 2 month check up on Thursday. We took bets before we went as to how much he would weigh. We were all in the 10 pound range and boy were we wrong! My boy weighs a whopping 12.5 pounds (75%tile) which means he gained 5 pounds in 6 weeks. Zoinks!

Other fun facts... head was also in the 75%tile and his length was 26" which is the 90%tile! Pretty tall kid we're going to have.

He also got his first round of immunizations. We are following the alternative schedule set forth by Dr. Sears so he only got two. One oral and one shot. He hollered out with the needle but was over it pretty quick. He actually got more worked up when Dr. Kewin dug his excess earwax out.

Last night Brian and I took our first overnight away from the munchkin. We got a nice hotel room downtown and then went to a hockey game. Fun night away and I didn't call once to check on him while he partied with my mother-in-law. And he spent his first night in his crib! All sorts of milestones :)

And without further ado... a new pic. A Christmas pic in fact, but irronically we didn't use these on the Christmas card/announcements.

Testing, testing 1,2,3

Alright, I think I'm going to give this blogging thing a whirl. This is my first post, lets see how it looks!

Oh... and I'll be basically using this as a venue to chronical the wonderfulness that is my son Brock.

He's pretty stinkin cute if I don't say so myself!
